Day 1

Morning: Exploring Modern Madrid
On the second day in Madrid, head for a more modern and contemporary part of the city. The first place to start is Puerta del Sol – a principal commercial plaza in Madrid famous for the clock tower and the bear and a strawberry tree sculpture.
The next stop should be Gran Vía which is Madrid’s Shopping Centre. Enjoy the great architecture and rather festive spirit of the district, and check countless stores and shops to buy.
Afternoon: Visiting Museo Reina Sofia
In the afternoon go to another magnificent art gallery in Madrid – Museo Reina Sofia. Visit an art gallery to see some of Picasso’s creations and his masterpiece as well; Guernica. There is also a contemporary art gallery and the views regarding the art you would find here are quite interesting.
Shop with a purpose next at El Rastro, characterized as the second largest open-air flee market in the whole of Europe. Shop for many different products including but not only antiques, clothes, and other mementos.
Evening: Enjoying Spanish Cuisine
At the end of the two days tour in Madrid, make sure you taste some of the most delicious Spanish foods. Go to the district of malasaña often filled with bars and restaurants of the modern type. Savor true tape, taste genuine Spanish dishes, including paella and try some real Spanish wine, namely, sangria.
While it is nighttime, do take a relaxing walk in Madrid’s most beautiful streets illuminated during the night. Enjoy, the well illuminated buildings, monuments and places, which are as Almudena Cathedral and Metropolis Building.
